A free demo (Steam app 2174740) has been available since 3 October 2022 and was updated on 29 October 2026 to match the release build. It is the full game’s opening, not a separate mode. There is no free full version.

Where the demo lives
Install it from Steam or from the GOG demo page. Both are the official builds. I do not link repacks or “free full game” downloads, because the store does not offer one.
The 29 October launch post says the demo “has just been updated to match the full release version, complete with every dirty trick.” A 20 November 2025 post added a tutorial and checkpoints. The 17 September 2026 demo update added rebinding, crosshair size, the full language list, reload cancelling, a John Woo execution, new enemies, and controller support.
Demo versus the paid game
The demo is the start of the campaign. The paid game continues through the seven named missions, Endless Mode, hard difficulty after a clear, 18 achievements, and the optional Digital Compendium. Save transfer between demo and full game is not described on the store, so I leave that cell empty.
